introducing ulexite! she's a cartoon nerd, is a somewhat lazy couch potat, and is the type to back out in tough situations, and is a bit of a coward. she's still a great friend to watch tv with, even if you don't have a tv, as she can pick up a television wave, and transmit it to your mind via telepathy. her weapon is a boomerang. her telepathy allows her to pick up television waves, send out her own thoughts as television waves, and transfer her thoughts to other gems as images. ulexites are used by homeworld for communication, and what lapis used to contact the crystal gems in the message was a ulexite (i thought of this because it was video, and the whole transmit images thing…). ulexites are somewhat low class and are above pearls this one in particular was used to power a small communication hub, but steven pulls her gem out, remembering lapis's predicament. rather than lashing out and attacking the crystal gems, ulexite immediately tried to become friends. it's just in her nature.
i researched the spiritual and physical qualities of real ulexite to form her personality.
