Story: Credit for image: Planetkid32 on X Henry's Old Shape basis could be an A1 1915 prototype. Now that that's settled. This means that Gordon was not a prototype. He is straight up an A1. No exceptions. The lore is that Gordon would be an A1 but instead, was modified in Crovan's Gate Works. Not Crewe Works to be an A3. Henry's Backstory: One day in 191, a rival builder of Nigel Gresley hired a thief to steal the plan of the A1. He instead stole the wrong one, being this. He didn't notice the faults until it was too late. Even worse, Gresley was using this for reference, so he had to COMPLETELY start over on the new design. Soon enough in 1922, Henry was going to be sold to the highest builder. The highest builder, as you would expect, was none other than Bertram Hatt. Well, the story would show itself soon enough.
