"I just have to catch the star... I just have to reach higher... I just have to do it better, and better, and better until I do it." "What a beautiful world" - Astrid . dot . dot . dot

Description

Giant paragraph time!!!!!!! This is my DTA entry! DTA stands for Draw to Adopt. I'm still pretty new to DTAs and art so I tried my best with this one... and didn't have time to draw a second piece. The second piece was supposed to be her flying in space and staring at Eart, holding the star, and saying "What a beautiful world". Sadly, I didn't have time to finish it... :( But that's okay. This is like my second real art piece soooo like I'm pretty amazed at how it turned out! The character! The shading! The coloring! The background! Ok, ok. I'll stop. I mean, it's not THAT good. Any suggestions are welcome in the comments! I drew this on procreate, by the way. If you fullscreen, you'll notice that it's really pixelated. That was a mistake on my part, because I set the thing to 480 x 360 pixels, the scratch screen dimensions. Um... like and fav... and I hope I get a good result in the DTA! And good luck to all the other contestants! And thanks @MeadowFoot_ToPH for hosting the DTA. You can click on the original project up there. Bye! Thanks for reading that big wall of words! Oh wait! Also I just read An Absolutely Remarkable Thing (by Hank Green) (and the sequel of that: A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor) and I REALLY recommend reading it! I could've used that time drawing the second drawing but... I didn't. I seriously need to manage my time better. And I think the only reason that I'm so excited right now is because I just finished a really, really good book.
