For a bit a lore here, Apparently someone decided to remake the original Sonic 3 idle and experimented with the old Sonic 1 palette, It was until sega knew about this idea and quietly stole it for sonic mania. Yeah in simpler terms, This is (in an arg way of describing it), The original mania design for sonic left over in a prototype build.
