She and her half uncle, Scourge are somewhat connected through the white paw. He's after revenge on Firestar and Tigerstar, but wants to get rid of his son Brambleclaw. Her sister Leafpool became a Medicine cat and cats favoured her over Squirrelflight, even her father Firestar. The idea she got, is to become mates with Brambleclaw, who is deputy at the time and is really the only one who cares about her and will garanteed make her deputy. Everything goes to plan. Squirrel can't get kits so when she found out about Leafpool and Crowfeather, she'd take the kits and pretend its hers, so that Brambleclaw likes her, or so she thinks.
