I covered Butterfly by Weezer on the guitar. I'm still an amateur guitarist— this is the best recording I could get. Sorry for the poor quality. The song is the tenth and final track of Weezer's second album, Pinkerton, released in 1996. The album featured a darker, more abrasive sound than their 1994 debut album, and it initially received mixed reviews. Frontman Rivers Cuomo was embarrassed by the album's failure and moved back to the simpler, cleaner sound the band had in their next album in 2001. Pinkerton, despite having negative reception initially, is now considered one of the band's greatest albums.
Song: Butterfly by Weezer Art: a vectorized, animated version of Pinkerton's cover art, derived Kambara yoru no yuki ("Night snow at Kambara") from the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige's 1830s series 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō. Chords: G, Em, C, D, G7, and C/B
