hi speedy (: So... anyways, I'll cut to the chase - out of pure boredom, I decided to add more Quality Of Life Improvements to the game, as some parts of the game sort of lacked needed features. Some changes were also stylistic - such as the tutorial text and such. Keep in mind that some bugs are still intact. I unfortunately couldn't get rid of some bugs or troubles within the demo. CHANGES: - There is a warning about FLASHING LIGHTS now - Title Screen has been completely revamped - Title Card bottom & top graphics now smoothly shift - You now have 10 lives instead of 3 - The Ranking System has changed to accommodate that, along with a small visual change to the animation - Dialogue at the start of the 1st act has been modified - You can now skip the entirety of the dialogue by pressing enter - In the 2nd area of act 1, there is now a board telling you to press Z/Up/W on the red orbs - In the same area, the sign in the concrete has been given a more toned down font - Red Levitation orbs have been given an outline to stand out against the BG - HUD has been given an overhaul, boost bar now doesn't block a bit of the screen & lives are now a counter instead of a bar - In the 5th area of act 1, the plank in the middle has been straightened out to make it a slight bit easier - 1st tutorial text has been changed and given a visual along with a shorter 'Q to close' - Speedy's "Speed Attack" now allows a bit of invincibility, to lessen the risk of being hit while doing the attack making you lose a life - The "Speed Attack" now starts on the first frame of the attack animation - The "Speed Attack" animation has been modified to rid the shakiness - The enemy in the 6th area of the 1st act now explodes when killed instead of simply disappearing - The same enemy also now makes a sound when it reacts to Speedy - The same area has a new plank to fix clipping into the wood plank in the next area - There is now a ladder in the 11th area of the 1st act to match with area 6 in consistency - The same area has fixed level geometry at the start to fix a bug where running into it would kill you - The SHIFT SHARD tutorial has been modified - You can no longer run in mid-air while the shift shard is in action - The board in the 15th area in the 1st act has been redone with a new look - The orbs in the boss fight now hit the ground instead of magically disappearing in the air - There is now an indicator for the lasers in the 2nd phase of the boss fight - The GAME OVER text has been changed, along with the entire screen itself - Speedy's movement during the second phase of the boss fight is now more smoother and snappier (Careful, it can be slippery if you move too fast, so make sure to plan ahead!) - Speedy is now shot up into the air for a more convincing transition in the second phase of the boss - You can now hit the boss way faster (Go get 'em, speedrunners) - Starting Boss HP is now 12 to make up for the ability to hit the boss way faster (Still, go get 'em, speedrunners) - The boss' dive attack is now more fair, with the rocks now coming from just the centre instead of randomly around the field - There are now clouds in the sky during the second phase of the boss fight - When the boss hits the ground at the start of the boss fight, there is a new noise added to polish - The second phase of the boss fight now has 6 hits instead of 4 - The boss now flashes instead of easing brightness to give more sharper feels to damaging the boss - Indicators appear when an attack is about to happen from the boss Boss Tints and Hips: - Once the Boss flies up, ready yourself at either side of the stage. Both attacks done by the boss can easily get you if you stay in the centre. - If the boss swoops down into the floor, try to stay on a side, not too close to the edge. Rocks can still hit you, so dodge swiftly! - If the boss stays idle in the sky and shoots orbs at you, quickly move from one side to the other. - You can use the invincibility frames from the "Speed Attack" to phase through the projectiles, but don't depend on it; timing it wrong can lead to a unwise demise! - In the sky during phase two, stay in a corner to avoid being hit by any oncoming attacks. The upper corners are the best option here to avoid getting hit. - If the spinner comes, keep a cool head and try to swerve around the middle. Don't get too close to the middle as to keep safe in case you misinput. Secrets: - Hold H at the start of an act for a tough challenge...
