I tried to use extemely basic calculus and trig and stuff to have a ball bounce around on a terrain realistically, (oh and some physics too), but not even the thing where the collision angles are the same, the new angle is just the normal. the problem is, my formula for finding the derivative function for the compound function of a sine curve and a parabola apparently does not work as I intended, and, knowing barely any calculus (but some algebra), I do not know why. could it be because of the coefficients? I do not know how to get this to work. but I would like to, thanks...
