I just put this together really fast because I was happy and hyper. it's so cool how you can do transparency without ghost effect. I did this using the paint bucket tool.between the slider and color chooser in the paint editor for a sprite, click the black and white squares to put the white on top. then, in the color picker, choose the white box with a red line through it. click the paint bucket tool, choose your gradient type of choice and click somewhere on the canvas. comment if you're confused.
