Instructions

This is a wheel of fortune wheel and scorekeeper. It saves your progress unless you reload the page or load it on a different page. Features __________________________________________________How to spin: Click the yellow "spin" button. How to buy a vowel: Click the blue "buy a vowel" button. How to switch players: Toggle is on the bottom right. How to reset game: Reset icon on the top left. How to Play Wheel of Fortune _________________________________________________ A puzzle board and letter marker should be provided. The show person selects a puzzle, then tells the contestants how many letters each word is, a category, any punctuations, etc. The first contestant then spins the wheel and guesses a CONSONANT. The show person then tells the contestant how many times that letter is in the puzzle, and reveal them on the board. If that letter is not in the puzzle, play passes to the next contestant. If it is, the contestant will receive the amount spun times the amount of letters they revealed, and proceed to go again. If a contestant has enough money, they may buy a VOWEL for $250 instead of spinning. If the vowel they guessed is not present in the puzzle, that contestant does not get to go again. This continues until a contestant correctly guesses the puzzle on their turn. That player wins and gets to keep their money! If all letters are revealed before anyone correctly guesses the puzzle, then whoever guessed the last letter(s) wins their money. Special Wedges _________________________________________________ Lose a turn: If this wedge is spun, the contestant whose turn it is must pass play to the next contestant. They still get to keep their money. Bankrupt: If this wedge is spun, the contestant whose turn it is must pass play to the next contestant AND forfeit all their money for this round! Mystery Wedge (marked "? $1000"): If this wedge is spun, a player must guess a consonant as usual, but then gets to decide whether to keep their money or try and add $10000 to it. If they decide to try for $10000, they may either receive $10000 or get bankrupted. Wild tile wedge (marked "|?|00"): If this wedge is spun, a player must guess a consonant as usual, but then a spin amount between $500 and $1000 is chosen, and the player receives a random extra letter, money included! Million Dollar Wedge (marked "$1 million"): If this wedge is spun, a player must guess a consonant as usual, but then gets to keep the wedge if at least 1 letter was revealed. If the same player lands on bankrupt, they must forfeit the wedge. If a player holds onto it for the rest of the round, they get to keep it! I've tried it with the official Wheel of Fortune board game and I found that using a keyboard where the Pat Sajak person presses the number of letters revealed and then enter/return is the best way to use this project. This project is still being worked on. Let us know if you find any bugs.
