For this project I mostly just gathered up a bunch of sad songs and stuck them in. This project's supposed to symbolize the aftermath of Inkheart's death. What happened? How's everyone feeling? The answer is, not well. Not well at all. Nobody's coping, especially not Icaruspaw. The entire Clan is in a deep grieving period, refusing to go to this moon's gathering and sticking to themselves, only a few cats have even bothered to so much as border patrol. This death has hit the whole Clan HARD. Storyline: After the events of Inkheart's death, the whole Clan is in turmoil. Creekstar refuses to go to this next moon's gathering, feeling betrayal from ScarClan, who were supposed to be their allies. All cats in the Clan knew of Icaruspaw and Inkheart's relationship and knew them personally. They were very active in the Clan, much like their parents. Icaruspaw refuses to get up from Inkheart and his shared nest. He refuses to take his final warrior assessment, but Creekstar has accepted it and announced that until the grieving period is over the Clan will not be moving on. However long the grieving period will last, is completely up to him and Inkheart's family. Robinwatcher is being comforted by Onyxshadow about all this too, and both of them are attempting to comfort their son all the while. Though, Onyxshadow isn't much help, taking jabs at ScarClan whenever he can thanks to this tragedy. Saying things like, "Now you know why I hate ScarClan so much". He very much uses this tragedy as a main standpoint as to why he despises the Clan so much. Not very many cats argue with his logic anymore though. Woollywish and Saplingstrike gave birth to four healthy kits at the end of the moon, Heartkit, Thistlekit, Sapkit, and Wishkit. The Clan was thrilled at the births, but they still are not fully recovered from the tragedy and neither are Woollywish and Saplingstrike. Both are incredibly depressed and refusing to leave the nursery or allowing their kits to be seen by anyone except for Icaruspaw's family and Creekstar. Creekstar did however, announce their births to the Clan. What will happen with ScarClan and CreekClan? That is still up in the air. Nobody really knows what anyone's thinking at this time, and are mostly just waiting it out. Everyone in the higher ranks of CreekClan knows that Creekstar will make an announcement addressing it at the next gathering they attend, which will be after the grieving period is over. A new CreekClan tradition: The Grieving Period About: The Grieving Period will take place any time a huge loss to CreekClan takes place, but it will mostly only concern the death of a or many clanmate(s). Especially ones who played a special role in many cats' hearts. The Grieving Period will prevent cats from moving up in ranks (apprentice ceremonies & warrior ceremonies will not be taking place during this time, if a high rank were to die though a successor would obviously need to be chosen/celebrated at or before moonhigh though.) they will also not be attending any gatherings. Basically, the Clan goes into hiding and everyone takes time to mourn. The grieving period usually lasts 2-5 moons, depending on how big of a loss it was and on the families that suffered due to the loss. Cats still patrol (obviously, cause they still need to eat) but it usually is only a few small patrols and only consists of cats who are up for it. Cats who are still in grief or upset are not allowed to patrol for obvious reasons. There are RARELY any border patrols taking place at this time as well. This event allows for everyone to be calm and collected for whatever happens next. @BrightwaterDraws, what do you think would happen at the next gathering? I mean, Creekstar IS your character so I would love to know what you believe his reaction would be so I can portray it properly.
