whenever the ROSS comments get closed, everyone says stuff like "y'all need to behave". only the problem isn't "y'all". it's scratch. there is currently no way to ban a person from commenting on a studio. you can remove them as a curator, but they will always have full access to the comments and there's nothing anyone can do about it, no matter how much that person may be asked to leave. my solution is for scratch to add a new option that allows hosts/managers to disable comments for everyone who isn't a curator. that way, anyone who is removed is effectively barred from causing more trouble, and they can't get around it with alts or new accounts. most of the problems in the ROSS have come from people who either have been banned or are new, and while this isn't to say all new users cause problems, i do believe this would significantly decrease the controversy and drama in which we often find ourselves. of course this would make the studio extremely restrictive to potential new members, but it doesn't have to be on ALL the time. it could only be used during periods of drama where the cause is only one user being disruptive or annoying, something the ROSS has experienced many a time. plus, it might just encourage people from outside to actually read the studio description and learn how to join properly instead of commenting about it. i'm not going to post this to the suggestions forum because i know i'll just be bombarded with "no support"s, but if any of y'all are brave enough to do it then i give you full permission to steal my idea. i'm really only posting this because i want to see who agrees with me.
