Criminal takes place long before Brightwater, Robinwatcher, Onyxshadow, or any of the 1st gen cats are born. It follows Robinwatcher's mother, Foxglovestep, through her lovelife and the destruction of her once thriving Clan. Storyline: Foxglovestep was a single kitten, mothered to a traditional and overbearing mother named Velvetsong. Velvetsong and her friend, Humidmorning had kits around the same time (Humidmorning had her sons a few days AFTER Foxglovekit was born). Her kits being called Lionkit and Boulderkit. Foxglovekit and her trio got into quite a bit of trouble, with Foxglove being mainly the ringleader of the group. The three troublesome kits somehow made it to becoming apprentices, with Foxglovepaw being mentored by the leader herself. While Foxglovepaw's troublesome nature faded over time, her friendliness and aloofness to the regular Clan-life soon became more apparent. She eventually met another apprentice from ScarClan known as Adderpaw. Adderpaw wasn't a very talkative tom, he was tall dark and mysterious if you will (wink wink) and that drew Foxglovepaw to him. He seemed to take likewise interest in Foxglovepaw, and it showed because he'd often sneak onto her territory and pretend to be stealing prey just to see her. On a particularly bad battle Adderpaw ended up betraying his leader and his Clanmates in order to save Foxglovepaw, his friend. He got kicked out of ScarClan for this, but shrugged it off as he replied that he'd rather be in Foxglovepaw's Clan anyways. It took a very long time, but eventually Adderpaw was fully accepted and trusted within Foxglovepaw's Clan and made a full warrior. Each of them earning their warrior names: Boulderwing, Lionclaw, Adderblood, and Foxglovestep. Foxglovestep and Adderblood spent a lot of their young warrior lives together, and Adderblood showed Foxglovestep nothing but respect and affection. Though, Foxglovestep's mother warned her that she shouldn't rush into things as some toms (especially ones from ScarClan) aren't as they seem. Foxglovestep ignored this, feeling that Adderblood was simply misunderstood by everyone in her Clan simply because he was from another Clan. She felt as though they shared a special bond. One day, however, Boulderwing approached Foxglovestep with a warning to stay away from Adderblood because he was dangerous. Boulderwing warned her that he'd been having strange dreams of dark cat taking over their Clan and leaving it in ruins, and he'd do this by making himself out to be a good, respectable warrior. Boulderwing also warned her of Adderblood's ambitions that aligned with this dark cat. Foxglovestep didn't believe him however, and continued to support Adderblood. She and Boulderwing were no longer friends after this fight too. Adderblood eventually became deputy under a new leader, and many other cats cheered him on. During another bad battle a couple moons later though, a serious injury took both the leader's life and almost took Adderblood's life. He lived, but it left a gigantic scar. Adderblood was appointed leader, with Lionclaw as his deputy. Adderstar proved not to be a safe leader though, much to Boulderwing's "I told you so" attitude. Foxglovestep didn't want to believe a cat she loved so much could be so cruel either. She also felt as though she couldn't escape him either because she was expecting kits. The Clan was quickly thrown into turmoil, with plenty of fights being picked and battles happening on the Clan's territory. There were not enough hunting patrols going around and gathering food either, so many cats were going hungry. Foxglovestep eventually gave birth to her kits. Only one of them survived, being Robinkit. She mourned the loss of her other kits and she believed this to be a punishment from StarClan. Adderstar didn't take the loss of so many Clanmates or even his own kits very well, and massive battles were construed. Even the queens were forced to fight, which left the Clan in a very unhealthy state. Lionclaw tried challenging Adderstar, which only resulted in his death, and Adderstar declaring he would be the one and only leader, and that his children after him would take over his throne and assure that the Clan would never know true safety again. Upon hearing this, Foxglovestep, who was already protective of Robinkit due to the massive wave of hate coming from her Clanmates due to Robinkit's father being...well, Adderstar... concocted a plan. She brought Robinkit to the twolegplace during an ambush that surged through her Clan camp in an attempt to stop them once and for all. She barely made it out alive, saying her last goodbyes to Robinkit, before meeting her unfortunate demise at the paws of an enemy warrior alongside her mate. Boulderwing survived, and went on to join one of the Clans in order to escape his now completely dead Clan. In fact, all cats from Foxglovestep's old Clan ended up joining the others and refused to stay in their own.

Corvusstar is the grandmother of Onyxshadow and Citrusecho (Corvusstar's entire family line has a deep connection with avians, who she believed were the voices of her ancestors or trapped spirits. Inspired by Louixie's Corvid/WingedClan) Yes, i did change Foxglovestep's design solely because I knew drawing all those spots on her were going to be a PAIN, also Robin got a redesign too sooo...they both kindaaa needed it. Also this version is a lot prettier imo. The backgrounds are 100% lazy :')
