We are all familiar with the story of Luke, the young male golden retriever pup who was taken away from his dog family. In the sequel of "Homeward A dog's story", Luke and his dog family are taken to Trixie's Aunt, who lives far away from their home. Trixie and her family are going on vacation, but the hotel they are staying at doesn't allow dogs. Luke's sisters are worried, and escape, with Luke and his mother following, setting out on a journey to find their family again. However, when a pack of coyotes hunts them down, Luke and his dog's family get separated. Now, Luke faces a tough decision. He must choose whether to go to his own family and leave his dog's family behind or venture further into the forest to find his dog's family, knowing that they would be even more lost.
