THIS PROJECT WILL NOT RUN IN SCRATCH!!! at least on my slow laptop its like 3 seconds / frame but it runs really smooth on turbowarp :) https://turbowarp.org/1024546491?hqpen&stuck&offscreen [ WASD ] - move around mouse - look around (the controls might be a bit weird so let me know if I should go back to using arrow keys) [ space bar ] - jump / fly up [ shift ]- fly down click to break blocks [ Q ] - place blocks [ E ] - open/close doors, enter crafting tables, furnaces, and open your inventory number keys [1 - 9] to select hotbar slots Hold space while clicking to select half of a stack or to drop a single item from a stack. t - view terrain map
obviously based on minecraft music from c418 Create custom texture packs here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/821768079/ Please put any changes/ fixes you think I should make in the comments :) Change log 7/24/24 - v0.2 - added items that drop when you mine blocks, an inventory, a (slightly buggy) crafting system, and furnaces. -Fixed flowing water and lava (they will need more fixing later). - Added day/night cycle ( I especially love the stars. they're really pretty at night) - added main menu - I had a ton of fun making the splash texts ; ) - fixed entity rendering so entities will layer correctly with the terrain -attempted to add redstone dust. (the power sources were being weird so for now you can't place levers or repeaters) -added the ability for blocks to have any cuboid hitbox. Doors, trapdoors, redstone dust, fires, and short grass all make use of this feature. -(mostly) fixed the bug that made traveling to the nether spawn you in the ground. I also made it spawn a portal when you arrive. If you get stuck, which does happen occasionally, then you have to break the obsidian to escape. Upcoming changes / things I want to add: Lighting: this might be tricky because of the cubic chunks system, but if I can figure out a good way to do it without causing a ton of lag I think it would be cool. Mobs: I really want this minecraft clone to actually be fun to play. Hopefully I can at least get zombies and skeletons working so there's actually some kind of challenge to the game. Redstone: I hope to add basic features like dust, repeaters and torches. Minecarts: they're really cool and I want them in my game. the end 8355059!
