Want to quickly get to the most recent remix? Click here for the remix tree: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1023598853/remixtree In this spinoff of @ConeyFan999's Tornado Twirl ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/933300603/ ), the players are situated on a platform attached to the summit of one of Tornado Twirl's mountains. A very windy storm covers this summit, and this storm creates tornadoes that the players have to jump over. The main difference that Tornado Peak has from Tornado Twirl is that rather than only having an HP system, the players must try to stay on the platform for as long as possible instead, no HP involved! The tornados will try and blow players off the platform, and another unique thing about Tornado Peak is that there are now several variants of tornadoes that each have special effects! These variants are listed inside the project on a note. The last player that stands on the platform survives the storm and wins the game! ===== HOW TO REMIX ===== Want to add a character to this project? Follow these instructions carefully to get them in: 1. See inside the project for the rules and read them. DON'T proceed until you've done this. 2. Click the green "Remix" button at the top-right corner. 3. Create a duplicate of the "Player0" sprite. (right-click the sprite on the sprite list, then click "duplicate") 4. Create your character! Replace every costume in the duplicated sprite with your character, replace all "Voice" sound clips (at the bottom of the sound list) with your character's voice & set their name, walk animation speed, size, and number of caught voices. 5. Test your project &, if you like the result, either continue to add more characters or share it! BONUS: You're also allowed to add characters to the thumbnail & add more music tracks. The credits are located in the thumbnail sprite with the rules and the list of tornado types so they can be passed on to later remixes.
My 7th original AY-minigame and 12th original AY overall is now out! This minigame is inspired by @ConeyFan999's Tornado Twirl ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/933300603/ ), which I'd consider this as a spinoff to said minigame. In fact, I had the idea for Tornado Peak even while the original Tornado Twirl was still in development. The idea of a spinoff to Tornado Twirl came to me while me and @ConeyFan999 were struggling to troubleshoot some errors in Tornado Twirl (thankfully, we eventually fixed the errors). Now, that idea has become a reality. This is my first original minigame to feature a smarter, more dynamic scaling method. No longer will you need to manually scale your players in the costume editor, as a much easier alternative is now available. I would've included this feature in Boulder Attack REDUX, but I didn't because it didn't work well with the zapper boulders. On the topic of scale, this is also my first original minigame to include a zoom effect for when a player wins, like in @EMM_Coding's Marble Madness ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/862167179/ ). I included this feature because I wanted to improve the proportions of the zoom when I was unable to do so with helping EMM make Marble Madness V3 ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/947332404/ ). ===== CREDITS ===== Credit to all, including: - @ConeyFan999 for the original Tornado Twirl ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/933300603/ ) that brought inspiration to this minigame! - @-Rex- for PTE++ ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/ ). - @Twin138956Scratch for the "Confetti Poppers" sprite ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/469550419/ ). - @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop for modifying said confetii sprite in Pasa la Bomba ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/468164695/ ), as well as the base for the "Snowfall" sprite which I modified. He also drew some of the snowflake costumes. - @Diepic for the human 2.0 base. - Warner Bros for the ambient thunder sound effects that I muffled. - Ragdoll Productions for the sound of their 1984 logo that plays when the storm clears up. This is the very same sound that's also used when the storm clears up in Burgnew's Raining Bomb Survival 2 ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/530026397/ ). - Konami for the sounds I used for the "GO!" and "FINISH!" text, from beatmania III and KEYBOARDMANIA respectively. - SoundLibrary1 for the metal grate footstep sounds. - ALL music/jingle/SFX owners/composers including: Nintendo + Fremantle + Sega + Konami + DJ SIMON + Anarchy + ZeRo-BaSs + dj REMO-CON + dj TAKA+ synteza + Akira Yamaoka + SLAKE + WALL5 + Disney + Steve Porter + Toby Fox + kors k + Daxx, Tom.K + good-cool + @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop + Navola + Supercell.
