Ikari has had a few playdates but never stayed the night, except for the sleepovers with her childhood friend.
“Hey, Heiwa.” My dad said before dropping me off at the park, “If you want, you can invite your friend over to our house anytime” He said with a smile, “As long as you two don’t cause any trouble.” I nodded. She didn’t seem to ever want to go home, so maybe she’d like it if I offered to come to my house. “...Do you want to ask me something?” Ikari asked. I did, but it felt awkward inviting her over to my house. Still, I wanted to try and ask. I took a deep breath in to gather my courage, “Would you like to play at my house sometime?” I said, my voice quieter than I thought it’d be. She took a second to think about it as I waited anxiously, then nodded. “I’ll have to ask my dad, but I think so. What days are you free?” She asked. “Any day!” I said quickly, dad only dropped me off at the park because he knew that at least one other kid would be there, but if Ikari wanted to come to our house, he probably wouldn’t mind us being home alone while he worked. She smiled, “Okay, I’ll ask him tomorrow,”. I nodded. I made sure to remember that I should clean my room when I got home. It wasn’t messy, I always kept it tidy, but I still wanted to make sure.
