Chapter 1 - Foreign Language Class The school bell rings. All students go to their lockers to get the book they need for their first class. There are 4 subjects that can be first on a schedule - Maths, Foreign Languages, Music and History. Clappy and some of his friends have Foreign Languages first. To start the year off easy, Miss Thavel's teaching Spanish. Clappy walks to his locker and grabs the textbook Miss Thavel assigned for the semester, and then begins to walk to the Foreign Languages classroom. He runs into T-Shirt on the way there and they start talking. "Ugh, Spanish is so basic," Clappy groans. "Why can't we learn Russian, or something like that?" T-Shirt always knew about the most random things, including abstract languages. "I know. I don't see why we can't learn Toki Pona." "Toki what-now?" "Toki Pona. It's a language created by linguist Sonja Lang to simplify her thoughts. Believe it or not, it only has 137 words and 14 phonemes!" T-Shirt explains. Clappy stops in his tracks and looks at T-Shirt in disbelief. "It's true," she states. The two continue to walk to the classroom. Just before he enters, Clappy sees Palette walking into the Maths classroom. He blushes, but quickly turns and walks in. Miss Thavel is standing in front of the interactive whiteboard, ready to take attendance. "Alright, class, please raise your hand when your name is called," she says. She runs through the register relatively quickly. Miss Thavel opens a slide on the whiteboard. "Today, we're going to be looking at the differences in grammar between English and Spanish." She begins to explain how the adjective comes after the noun in Spanish. For example, 'green leaf' in Spanish is 'hoja verde'. A couple minutes before the class ends, Miss Thavel starts to hand out worksheets. The letter blocks on her head made a gentle clacking sound as she walked. The question were simple, just a tick-the-box - as shown. "1) What is 'red shirt' in Spanish? □ camisa roja □ roja camisa 2) What is 'dark night' in Spanish? □ oscura noche □ noche oscura" There were 10 questions in total. Diary whizzes through the questions. Cratey just guesses and hopes he gets them right. Clappy gets stuck on some, unsure which word is the adjective and which word is the noun, but he finishes. The bell rings, signalling that the class is over. "Class dismissed. Leave your worksheets on my desk and go to your next class." Clappy just hands it over, just wanting to get it over with. He grabs his backpack and walks out of the classroom.
Chapter 2 - Culinary Class "Another boring start to another boring day," Clappy says to himself. Walking back to his locker, he sees Palette again. Her long, black hair with rainbow streaks caught his eyes. To him, she just looks so... beautiful. She was one of the popular girls, so she had a lot of friends. She also had really good grades, especially in Art. Clappy was too busy thinking of her to notice T-Shirt sneaking up behind him. "BOO!" "ARGH!" Clappy jumps at the touch of T-Shirt's hands on his shoulder. T-Shirt laughs. She says that she saw Clappy looking at Palette and that she connected the dots. Clappy rolls his eyes and gets the cookbooks that he'll need for culinary class. "Stupid little..." Clappy grumbles to himself. In the classroom, Miss Tisol is organising the different stations, while all the students are chatting amongst themselves about what they're going to cook. "Hi, Clappy!" Engel greets. He loves cooking and is always cheerful. Clappy mumbles. "Hi." Miss Tisol finishes organising and walks to the front of the classroom. She starts giving a quick run-through of the kitchen. She points out how the light blue sink is for washing hands, how the dark blue sink is for washing food, and how the black sink is for washing utensils. "Since it's the start of the school year, why not have some fun? Cook anything you want!" Miss Tisol states. Some run to the light blue sinks to wash their hands, and some go to the bathroom. Once everyone's washed their hands, they waste no time cooking. Ruby rushes to the fruits to get some strawberries, mangos and pineapples for her smoothie. She'll save some strawberries to put on top of her pancakes. Palette rushes to get some eggs for her French omelette. Clappy gets some beef for his stew. He also gets some vegetables. Bubble is at the dark blue sink, washing her broccoli. While he's waiting for her to finish, Clappy starts preparing the beef. He walks up to a box and grabs a meat thermometer, and jabs it in the small chunk of beef in the pan. It reads 52°C. The meat needs to be somewhere between 70°C - 75°C for it to be well-done. Clappy turns the dial on the stove, making it hotter. He looks at Palette. She makes the omelette with practically no mistakes. "Woah..." Clappy thinks. "She's so talented." However, he re-focuses on his dish and starts cutting the vegetables. After everything's put in the stew and stirred, Clappy taste tests it. "Needs more salt," he says. Pixel is cooking chicken fajitas. The chicken is done cooking, and she reaches down with tongs - but some hot oil splashes on her hand. "Ow!" she yelps quietly. HP, who was next to her, helped her wrap her hand in cling film. He also helped her cook. Ruby's having a little bit of trouble flipping her pancakes as the batter keeps sticking to the pan. However, her smoothie was pretty much perfect! Cratey's making something random as hell. He just threw random veggies in the pan, and it somehow formed a soup. Miss Tisol thinks he needs some assistance, but she thinks it's rude to help without asking. "How's everyone getting on?" Miss Tisol asks. "Anyone need help?" To her surprise, Cratey didn't say anything. Miss Tisol just hopes he knows what he's doing. "I think I need some help," Calco says. Miss Tisol walks over to him and his dish. Everything seems okay. "Everything looks right, but I feel like something's missing," he states. Miss Tisol thinks for a bit, she isn't sure what advice to give. "How about you add some herbs?" she suggests. Calco does as she says, adding some thyme and oregano. The dish tastes better. "Thanks, Miss Tisol!" "No problem!" 45 minutes pass, and the class ends. "That's today's lesson over. You may take your dishes to eat. Enjoy your lunch break!"
