INSTRUCTIONS Use arrow keys to move. The Pacman digs his own maze and has to collect 10 gems to complete each level. The ghosts appear after about 5 seconds so dig fast! Creating a few dead-end tunnels for the ghosts is a good way to avoid them. Later levels include maroon coloured iron ore which is slow to dig through. A powerpill is available on each level. This allows the pacman to kill the ghosts and earn bonus points. The powerpill lasts for 10 seconds and there is no timer displayed. Be aware of the slimer which also digs and is unaffected by powerpills. Space bar can be used to fill in the maze behind the pacman. Version 3.2: Demo can now be interrupted by pressing the S key and the game will start. Some errors still need fixing: 1) bug on demo where the pacman doesn't move - clicking green flag again seems to fix. 2) in later levels if the pacman dies then the restart can be affected if not all ghosts were on the screen when the pacman died. 3) finishing the level while the powerpill is still in effect means there won't be a powerpill on the next level. 4) labelled levels only go up to level 13.

Description

PACMAN DIGGER This project started with the Pacman game in the Examples folder - thanks to JAY. Thanks also to EWR for creative input. 2021 - Updated to fix problem with the ghosts not moving. This might have been an update to the Scratch website that slightly altered the shade of purple used by the ghosts to decide if they can move forward or not. Colour changed from 75 100 40 to 74 100 38.
