-SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF TOTK- We made our way back to Lookout Landing. It had felt like it had been so long since I had seen Purah and the others. When we made it there, Purah was standing on the platform, looking towards the castle nervously, her flute in her hands. She glanced over, and when she noticed me and Link approaching, her face lit up. “Princess!” She shouted, running over. She grabbed my shoulders. “I was SO WORRIED about you two! First you go missing in a cave, then the world falls into upheaval and I learn there’s some creepy Demon King guy trying to destroy Hyrule, and you were stuck in the past. . .And Linky, when you went into the Depths to fight him and didn’t come back! And there was that huge dragon!” She took a deep breath. “I’m glad to see you.” I chuckled slightly. “Same.” “You know what?” She added. “Running a kingdom is stressful. I think I’ll stick to research.” I heard a bunch of footsteps and weapons clunking from behind. I turned around to see Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, and Riju running up to us. “Link! We ran as fast as we could to get out of there when that big Demon dragon thing took you away!” Yunobo said, panting. “Zelda!” Tulin said. “You won’t believe what happened! Guess what? I’m the Sage of Wind now!” Well, I guess my plan worked, I thought. “Wow.” I said. “We thought you were in the ancient past.” Riju added. “Well, I kinda was.” I said. “But uh, what’s all this about a Demon Dragon?” “You know how you turned into a dragon?” Link said. “Well, Ganondorf kinda did that too.” “Oh.” “Wait, hold up!” Purah exclaimed. “You were a dragon?!” “Yes. I mean, it’s kind of a long story.” “I guess everyone has a bit of explaining to do.” Said a robotic sounding, yet familiar voice. I turned around to see a large Zonai construct, with long arms and an owl mask. Embedded below the mask was a bluish-purple Secret Stone. Could it be– I thought. “Mineru!” I exclaimed. “Zelda.” She said; her voice sounded pretty much the same, but with a more robotic undertone, since she was speaking through the construct. “Your plan worked!” I added. “With a few minor inconveniences, yes. And yours too.” She gestured toward Link, who had the Master Sword strapped to his back. “But. . .you performed draconification, an act thought to be irreversible, how. . .” “To be honest, even I am not sure.” I replied. “But it had something to do with Link.” “Yeah.” he said. “I also have a bit of a long story to tell.” “Alright then.” Purah said. “We should all get some rest now, though. It has been a LONG couple of months. And we should get you some fresh clothes too.” “Yeah.” I said. . . . After a good night’s rest and another new set of clothes, me and Link headed back to the house in Hateno Village. We sat down at the table and exchanged our stories of both the events. It turns out Link had already seen large portions of my story by looking into the tears I shed as a dragon, so I just filled in the blanks. He told me all about how he woke up on a Sky Island and met the ghost of Rauru, and all about his quest to help each of the tribes with their regional phenomena. Then Link had gone to defeat Ganondorf, and he had performed draconification. Apparently, in dragon form, I had also helped with that fight. Then after the Demon Dragon was destroyed, Link had entered a sort of spirit realm, where the spirits of Rauru and Sonia had helped to turn me back into a Hylian. Usually I was the one who did all the talking in conversations with Link, but he seemed to have opened up even more after all these events. Mineru also explained how the Demon King had corrupted her original construct, so Link had to build a new one. Purah told all about how the world had fallen into Upheaval while Link and I were missing, and the new Sages told me all about their adventures. It was crazy that so much had happened that I didn’t even know about. . . . The following day, Mineru told us she wanted to show us something. We made our way up to the Great Sky Island, where the Temple of Time now stood. Mineru’s construct kneeled down in front of the temple, and her ghost exited out of the vessel. We all followed her through the temple and headed out to the circular stone platform again. The stone walkways leading up to it had broken apart, so they had been repaired with wooden bridges. It was weird to think that what felt like was only a few days ago, but actually thousands of years ago, this was where I turned into a dragon. Sidon and Tulin looked over the edge in amazement. Purah stopped and turned around to face the temple. “I can’t believe such an impressive landmass can float in the sky.” She said, looking up at the tall temple. “Just when I thought I’d started to figure the Zonai out. . .” We reached the platform, and everyone looked around at the incredible view. “Everyone. . .” Mineru started, hovering at the front of the platform. Description

This fanfiction is a made-up story that may not be canon-official in places. However, it does contain some canon dialogue and events that are represented in Tears of the Kingdom's Memories. Everything else was either interferenced from what the game shows the player, or created to flesh out the characters' personalities. Song: TotK Main Theme (epilogue continued here) “I am glad I was able to bring you all here. I wanted to share this view of Hyrule with all of you.” It indeed was a beautiful sight. “Whoa. . .I’ve never been this far up before, goro.” Yunobo said. “Wow. . .what a sight it is.” Riju added. Then she turned to me. “And, Zelda, you were roaming the skies all along?” I looked over at her. “Yes. Although I don’t really remember.” It had all felt like when you had a dream, but when you wake up, that memory of the dream slips away. “I never thought I would actually stand here again.” “This is only a theory, but. . .” Mineru said. “Rauru’s power of light, and Sonia’s time power. . .For Zelda to transform back, they both must have channeled their abilities through you, Link.” I turned around to face him. That made sense, but I had also felt something else changing back, and I knew what it was. I turned back to Mineru. “I see.” A gentle breeze drifted by, and it was peacefully quiet for a moment. Particles of teal-colored light drifted out from Mineru’s spirit, and she looked down at her hand. “Now it seems. . .it is my time.” I stepped forward. I knew this had to happen, but I didn’t want it to just yet. Mineru was such a good friend of mine, and I had already lost so many others. “Mineru!” “Do not worry. You have overcome the burden my era left to you. You have proven yourself, and you no longer need me. I know I can move on–join Rauru and the others–and the world will still be safe.” I looked down. Everyone else was leaning forward tensely. Tulin sighed, looking down solemnly. But then he gasped, and turned around to look at everyone. He understood what Mineru meant. Everyone looked at him and nodded. They all walked back, standing next to each other at the back of the platform. I turned around, curious. “Those of us,” They all said in unison. “gathered here, swear on our lives, to support Princess Zelda and. . .” They all lost each other and stopped, turning toward each other. Yunobo sighed, Sidon laughed a bit, Tulin shrugged, and Riju cleared her throat. “To support Princess Zelda and safeguard the land of Hyrule!” They finished. I let out a small gasp, moving my hand slightly toward them. I felt a sense of deja vu. It was just like when the Sages had made their vow to Rauru to defeat the Demon King. I looked down, closing my eyes. Then I turned to face Mineru again, smiling. She was also smiling. “Rauru and Sonia will be happy to hear of this.” she said. “But, Mineru. . .” I trailed off, tears forming in my eyes. “And I’ll let them know. . .just how much you care.” A tear slid down my cheek, and I was sad to see her go, but I smiled anyway. She looked around at all of us, fading away. “Thank you, all. . .” She disappeared into a bunch of brightly glowing teal particles. I reached out as they drifted off into the sky. We all stood in silence. I looked down, holding my hand up to my heart. “King Rauru. . .Queen Sonia. . .Mineru. . .the ancient Sages. . .” I looked to the sky. “They wished not only to save Hyrule from the Demon King, but for it to see eternal peace. I would dedicate myself to that goal.” I walked forward, looking across all of Hyrule. My kingdom. “Now and for all time.” I turned around. “My friends. . .with all of your strength. . .stand with me!” I smiled brightly. They approached me, smiling and chatting. Link looked at me, and I finally saw the emotion of joy spread across his face. And standing there, surrounded by my friends, and the ones I loved, finally home in my own time, the future looking bright. . .I knew. . Everything was going to be alright. -THE END-
