Perspective|An HP FanFic| Chapter 1| Before I was 17 when I first saw her. She was standing there on the corner, nose in book, waiting for the bus. Long black hair flowing in the wind, a small smile on her face.I’d been traveling through the city a lot now and had never seen her. But now that I had, I would never be the same. I walked up and pretended to bump up against her, causing the book to fall. “I am so sorry!” I exclaimed, “Are you okay?” “Fine. Thank you.” The girl said. “Although now my book is dirty.” “I’m James.” She smiled, “Matilda. It’s nice to meet your acquaintance.” “You as well. Can I buy you a hot cocoa or anything? As a sorry?” She-Matilda- thought about this. “That would be nice. Thank you.” I took her gently by the hand a led her to my favorite cafe which happened to be only one block up. I nodded at the waiter upon entering and went to my usual seat. “Come here often?” Asked Matilda. “Indeed. Lots of work and staying up late. Thankfully this place stays open 24/7. You ever been here?” “No actually. I prefer the library or my garden. I rarely come to the city. I was supposed to meet a friend but they haven’t showed. I’ve been standing at that bus stop for three hours.” My eyes widened. “Three hours? Are you sure you have the right stop?” She paused, “I’m sure I do. I may not know the city but I didn’t think I could get that lost.” Matilda pulled out a piece of paper and I chuckled. “Oh dear. You did get lost. This station is 20 minutes away.” “Oh no! So my friend could very well be waiting for me.” She buried her head in shame. "It's all right. Perhaps I can drive you, if you wish?" She slowly looked up. "Really? That would be brilliant. Thank you." "Of course. Let me pay and we shall be on our way." I quickly paid for our drinks and once again thanked the waiters for their help. We got to my car and made it to the station in 18 minutes. I admit, I sped a little but only to win her over. King's Cross. I'd never been before but had heard it was the busiest one of them all. As soon as we had gotten out of the car, Matilda ran up to a girl and threw her arms around her. "Marley! Oh how I've missed you!" "I've missed you too dear sister. Although you've kept me waiting long enough." "Sorry, wrong station. But this kind gentleman gave me a ride." It was at that moment that Marley took notice of me. I smiled and waved. She walked over and demanded, "How old are you?" "17." "Watch yourself. My sister is only 14. Hurt her and I'll break you." "Yes ma'am." Marley turned to Matilda and asked, "Have you got the gentleman's number Mattie?" "Oh um, no. I don't." "Well I suggest you get it. We may want to keep him handy." I walked over to Matilda and wrote my number in her book. "I'm glad I've met you. Give me a call when you want and I promise to pick up." With a kiss to my cheek she replied, "I will. James." With a squeeze in my heart I watched her go. But knew it wouldn't be the last time we saw each other.
@hogwartsismyhome13 !!! I choose Mockingbird because I change the lyrics in my mind to be "Mallie I know you miss your mom and I know you miss your dad but when you're gone we're trying to give you the life we never had." I highly recommend listening to "My Boy(My Girl Version)" By Elvie Shane. It is very much Draco singing about Mallory.
