They are names from the books or my characters' names. Information on the dragons: MudWings: Description: Brown, sometimes with amber or gold underscales, have brown or amber eyes. Abilities: Can breathe fire if warm enough, hold their breath for up to an hour, hide in large mud puddles, usually very strong. Personalities: Warm, loyal to their siblings, strong, protective. Names: They are named after things in the marshes, like plants (Reed) and animals (Crocodile, Alligator, Moorhen). They are also named after shades of brown (Ochre, Sepia, Sienna). SandWings: Description: Pale yellow or sand-white colored, have black eyes and tongues, and a poisonous barb on their tails. Abilities: Can breathe fire, camouflage themselves in sand, use their venomous tails, and go a long time without food or water. Personalities: Usually smart, they like treasure. Names: SandWings are named after things in the desert, including plants (Thorn, Saguaro), animals (Addax, Armadillo, Viper, Cobra), weather (Qibli, Sandstorm, Sirocco), and things that are hot (Sunny, Blaze, Blister, Burn). SkyWings: Description: Red and orange scales, sometimes with gold underscales, orange, yellow, or amber eyes, massive wings. Abilities: Can breathe fire, are very strong fliers. Personalities: Grumpy, angered easily, ferocious fighters. Names: They are named after things in the mountains (Avalanche), fire (Flame), red jewels (Ruby, Carnelian), shades of red (Crimson, Scarlet, Vermillion), and birds (Hawk, Harrier, Kestrel, Thrush). SeaWings: Description: Blue and green scales with glow-in-the-dark markings, blue and green eyes, powerful tails, webbed feet, gills. Abilities: Can breathe underwater, make huge waves with their tails, swim very well, can see well in the dark. Personalities: I have no idea how to explain... They are loyal and like to learn. Names: SeaWings are named after things in the sea, including plants (Seaweed), animals (Barracuda, Turtle, Anemone), blue jewels and pearls (Pearl, Aquamarine), and weather (Riptide, Tsunami, Typhoon). RainWings: Description: Scales can be any color and are constantly shifting, have been described with green eyes. Abilities: Can camouflage their scales to blend in with their surroundings, their scale are also constantly changing, depending on their mood, have prehensile tails and have a deadly venom. Personalities: Always happy, lazy, not the smartest, ignorant. Names: They are named after things in the rainforest (Mango, Toucan, Orchid, Mangrove), and adjectives (Magnificent, Handsome, Glory (Not really an adjective, but similar)). Their colors according to their moods: ◾Red/Black = Angry/Upset ◾Orange = Irritated ◾Emerald = Displeasure/Annoyance ◾Gold/Yellow = Excited/Amused ◾Pink/Rose = Joy/Happiness ◾Pale/Lily Green/Acid Green = Fearful/Terrified ◾Green = Worried/Displeased/Annoyed ◾Blue = Calm/Curiousity ◾Purple-Blue = Pride ◾Dark Purple = Shame/Guilt ◾Purplish Orange = Confused ◾White = Pain/Extreme Fear/Sick ◾Dark Gray/Blue-Gray = Sorrow ◾ Pale Blue = Worried IceWings: Description: White, silver, or pale blue scales, darker blue eyes, tongues, and blood, icicle-like spikes, whip-thin tails ending in a cluster of spikes. Abilities: Can withstand freezing temperatures and bright light, grip the ice a create bad wounds with their ridged claws, exhale a deadly frostbreath. Personalities: Cold, calculating, arrogant. Names: They are named after things in the Arctic, like weather/ice (Stratus, Shard, Glacier, Blizzard, Winter, Icicle) and animals (Lynx, Ermine). NightWings: Description: Black or dark purple and blue scales with silver scales that look like stars on the undersides of their wings. Dragons with powers have silver teardrop scales on the outside corner of each eye. Abilities: Can breathe fire and hide in dark shadows. A dragon born under one full moon has either mind reading or foretelling the future, two moons they have both, and for three moons, it is unknown what will happen, but it is assumed that it makes both stronger. Personalities: Grumpy, arrogant, mysterious. Names: NightWing names are more complicated.
