I really don’t like Mothwing. As a character, she always felt flat to me. Respectfully, I never saw the big deal about Mothwing. I think that the general joy about Mothwing was the Warriors fandom’s lack of queer representation, so people looked for LGBT ships where they could. So began Mothpool. Aaa. I really don’t see it. They didn’t talk all that much from my memory, and I feel like this ship arose from one singular line where Leaf thought of Mothpaw/wing as pretty or something along those lines. We’re starved for representation, which I get. But I don’t think that we as a fandom should go around being so seriously invested in ships that are hardly hinted at. Ravenpaw and Barley were actually confirmed. Jake and Tallstar make sense to me, because reading Tallstar’s Revenge, they were very close and Talltail even felt “pain in his heart” when he went back to his Clan without Jake. Even Firestar and Graystripe: really close to one another. Talked a lot. Cared for each other deeply. I don’t get Mothpool. I’d be fine if it didn’t seem that /every single person/ believes in this ship and is deeply invested in it. So. I don’t like Mothwing. Sorry. (Bracing for the hate already.)
I’m not saying that you can’t like Mothwing. I’m just saying I don’t. i’m practically committing Warrior Cats treason at this point. better not talk about why i don’t like qibli.
