Description

A lot of people ask me this, and I've been wanting to make a project about it for a while. So here it is !!! :3 Also press space to change the music !!! I do not own any of the audio. So many people will tell you this, and it may not be the thing you want to hear, it wasn't the thing I wanted to hear, but it's true. Practice makes perfect. Now, experimenting with your style has a chance of making you improve faster. Also, something else. When people ask me on how to improve, I usually ask them this one question, "How long have you been drawing?". They'll most likely say since they were 3-5. But when I say that I really mean how long have you been taking art seriously? You won't improve as much as you may want to until you start taking art seriously, this doesn't mean you can't draw silly things, you can draw silly things and still take art seriously. Some people don't want to do this, but if you really want to improve, you need to start taking art seriously. I started taking art seriously a little over a year and a half ago. Now some people will take art very seriously, and some won't take it as seriously. If your taking improvement very seriously you will most likely improve faster but you also might start to stress yourself out and get frustrated. Like I did, a while back, I felt my art wasn't good enough. I spent hours upon hours drawing, experimenting, using up tons of paper. I got so frustrated and stressed because I wasn't improving as much as I wanted too. Though one day, I was experimenting with my style, and at that moment . . . suddenly I found a better way to do side fur, the ears, eyes, etc, etc, I really forgot which one it was. And I started to feel a little more confident about my style, and this kept happening, until I felt really confident with my art style. Now I do notice something, some people focus a lot on one thing. Such as the eye, so the eyes look really great but everything else seems behind. You need to make sure you practice pretty much evenly on everything. Also keep in mind that some people improve faster than others, but that doesn't mean you can't become a great artist if your slow. Okay guys, I see a lot of people do this, and it is NOT okay. Tracing, if the artist doesn't want you to trace their art you really shouldn't. This only counts for Scratch and websites like it though. Let's say we we're talking about DeviantArt or something, you will NOT trace their work if they don't want you to. Also, there is a difference between tracing art and not uploading it, and tracing art and uploading it without credit. Even if you don't upload it, it's still disrespectful. The artist spent a long time trying to develop their own creative style and then in a couple days you can draw like them. Now if you upload it without credit . . . That is very disrespectful, and I can promise you, you'll most likely get hate. And lots of it. Now if you upload it with credit you'll most likely get hate anyway so... JUST DON'T TRACE IF THE ARTIST DOESN'T WANT YOU TO. Now if it doesn't say on their profile if you can trace or not I just wouldn't trace their work. Also since we're already in this topic, I like it when you recolor my work (with credit), but if you trace my work ... That is just a no. Now again this is Scratch so if you wanna be rude you can go and trace my work but it's just my preference if you would not. Be creative :3 !!! Now, off the subject of tracing. What if you get hate comments while your not too confident about your drawing style ??? This can cause an artist to quit drawing when really their art is already pretty good and obviously going to be incredible in the future. Don't listen to the hate comments, it's all lies. In my opinion, the smartest decision would be to report the comment and don't reply. If you continue to get hate comments you might want to click the "Contact Us" Link at the bottom of every page in the Support section. Send them an email and if in a couple days it continues tell some friends about how your feeling, try not to say who exactly was being mean to you, but if they figure out please tell them not to go hate on that person. Even after what they did to you. If the hate still continues and your feeling pretty down again it's probably time to tell a Scratch Team member that the report button isn't working for you. So... If I think of anything else to put in this project I'll add it but for now the project is over !!! I hope it was helpful :3 !!! If you have any questions feel free to ask them !!! Your guys suggestions : "Also, another idea for improving drawings is to look at your biggest inspirations art. what do you like about it? the large ears, or those round fur edges? Then you can adapt that into your style. It can help speed up the process :)" - Ambershine156 "Try drawing whenever you can. I suggest you start with a sketch, so you don't break your pencil lead and/or end up with really shaky lines." - MapleShade77
