Press the arrow keys to move the timeline, and place your mouse cursor on an event to see its description. Some events are very close together; in those cases, it might be easier to put your mouse on the bottoms of the blue "teardrops" rather than the tops.
This is designed to be a timeline of the Renaissance in Europe. I also included several events of the Reformation, such as Martin Luther posting his 95 Theses. The background is The School of Athens by Raphael. If you have any feedback, please post it below. You can also use this as a base for creating your own timelines--if you need any help understanding the scripts, leave your questions in comments below and I'll address them as soon as I can.
