In May 2024, a prototype version of the 1978 Journal of Galactica intro was uncovered and released, with both visible and noticeable differences in the prototype. For example, the TG1 logo's gradient is inverted and less 3D in terms of appearance, along with the look of it being slightly altered, with the gradients going up to down instead of left to right. Not to mention, the music itself is a bit delayed. This variant of the ident went unused, and the 1978 ident was used instead, but it still places a pretty good mark on TG1's history.
