There is breathing technique that I sometimes use when having big feelings, thoughts, or emotions: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, and repeat. Doing this helps me take a moment to step back from whatever situation is causing me stress, get my breathing and thinking under control, and calms me down in the process. I thought this might be helpful to others so I made a project to help walk you through the process. Follow along with the instructions in the project to try it for yourself. You can turn on/off the instructions at any time by pressing space or tapping the screen. What sorts of things do you do to help calm your feelings, thoughts, or emotions? Do you go for a walk? Write in a journal? Draw? Do yoga or mediate? Something else entirely? Remix to show us! - - - - This was created for the Peaceful Picnic studio, part of Wellness Month: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/35306829 To learn more about Wellness Month on Scratch, see here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/763605/
