Mistpaw scrabbled for a hold, her paws latching onto the rough bark of the tree and pulling herself up. Her eyes darted wildly to the ground as she hung on tightly to a tree branch. The fox lunged and snapped, but she had gotten to safety in the last moment. She watched, it's toothy maw snapping and biting. She hissed at it and scrabbled higher up, waiting for it to leave. ------------ She dropped out of the tree as soon as the fox was gone, giving a quick lick to her tail, still stinging from the fur the fox had pulled out. She glanced up as Euphoriapaw approached her. He looked worried, but relieved. ``I heard you hiss, and then I saw the fox! You're all right, right?`` She nodded quickly. ``I'm fine.`` Euphoriapaw breathed a sigh of relief. ``OK, good.`` Mistpaw give a quick good-bye and hurried back to Mossclan, wanting to leave in case the fox came back. She saw Euphoria walk away as well out of the corner of her eye. ------------ Mistfall grinned. Her warrior ceremony had only just happened, and she was excited to see Euphoriap- well, he would have a different suffix now- again so they could meet up. When she found him at the border, he didn't look happy. And standing next to him was a warrior. Oh. He got caught. She blanked, looking for something to say. The maple leaves she had been carrying dropped from her mouth. ``Hi,`` Euphoria said. ``Hi.`` Her tail wrapped around her hind leg and she backed away. --------------------- She padded back again. To the border. Euphoria had been caught with her a few weeks ago, and she hadn't seen him since. She turned away, but a figure appeared at the edge of her vision. It was Euphoriahorizon. She grinned, turning around. ``I did not like that punishment,`` Euphoria joked. ``Anyways..... I was wondering... we're warriors now and.. would you be my mate?`` He dropped a few orange and red petals at her paws.
