Instructions

One of the first things I remember being excited about learning is the piano. My dad plays and I used to love sitting beside him as he played. He started teaching me when I was just 2 years old and I've been playing ever since! I took lessons for a few years, when I was really little, but had to stop when my family moved to a new town. I never gave up on my love for the piano though and I've been self taught ever since! Here are some recordings of me playing songs I really enjoy. They aren't perfect by any means, and I know I still have lots to learn, but I feel good about how much I've progressed over the years. I'm particularly proud of the "Call Your Girlfriend" recording as I composed this version of the song on my own. I couldn't find sheet music I enjoyed so I set out to make my own. It was my first time doing something like this and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. This recording is actually the first time I ever tried to play it all the way through - there is a minor mistake toward the end but I chose to use this recording to show that mistakes happen and it's okay! All part of the learning process :) Click a song title to listen. - - - - This was made for the Skill Share Workshop, part of Wellness Month: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/35291694 To learn more about Wellness Month on Scratch, see here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/763605/

I couldn't find sheet music I enjoyed for the song "Call Your Girlfriend" so what you're listening to is a version I wrote on my own. This recording is the first time I ever tried to play it all the way through - there is a minor mistake toward the end but I chose this recording to show that mistakes happen and it's okay!
