Description

I love the good old Bitmap editor, and I welcome the arrival of the new one. However, as a tribute to 2.0 and Vector graphics, I drew a bunch of complicated costumes. Originally this was going to be called, "Vector Drawings," but it was beyond drawings, so I renamed it. So you may be wondering: How did you crank out such good-looking costumes? Everything I draw is instantly messed up! The answer is the reshape tool. You draw the basic idea, then mold it with points like two-dimensional clay. It is a lot more time-consuming than simple pencil-like Bitmap. Notes on the costumes: Failord Thinking: Most Failord Styles will stay in Bitmap, as they look better and are easier to edit. I normally have hair, but it's very short and so every time I resolve to add some to this image, I just fold on the inside and say, "No, this isn't gonna happen." Dragon: Actually pretty simple- the head was the most complecated part. I like the shape of his wing. I feel that dragon wings are similar to bat wings, and that they are homologous structures to other vertibrate's limbs. Unnamed Heroes: These are the protagonists to future games, and I will not currently disclose their names, so please don't ask. Their first(and technically, second) apearences occur in this project- http://beta.scratch.mit.edu/projects/3030808 They don't quite look the same in Vector- their official games will be in Bitmap. Cole: This is the Ninja of Earth from the LEGO NInjago series, shown here in Failord Style as opposed to Minifigure shape. The Scythe of Quakes was the hardest part. Super Mario: Also clearly changed to Failord style, he illustrates the style's flexibility. Defined fingers can appear as well as ears and nose. Lucario: I am also a fairly big Pokemon fan. I didn't want to do Pikachu because someone else already did and I wanted a slightly more awesome looking pokemon to do. He took me an hour or two to draw. The hardest part was getting the "glove" shapes on his hands to look good.
