The Game Is Over [Prologue] The Watchers gathered together, their floating dark purple cloaks touching against each other as they flowed in the air. In their silence, each one understood what the others thought without words. The silence was only broken by the most respected Watcher, who stepped above the rest and began their speech. “You have been gathered.” They began, “For an extraordinarily important reason.” Unlike how a regular crowd would respond, the Watchers stood silently and listened to the words as they came. “You may have noticed, as We expect you to, that We have not required Xelqua to arrive. In fact, We did not give him the information required for this meeting.” This caused a small stirring in the crowd, where many of the lesser Watchers began to arouse in confusion and intrigue. The respected Watcher raised their hand, unseeable in the deep fabric of the hiding cloak to silence the lesser Watchers. “The reason for that is that Xelqua is the subject of today’s gathering.” More of the stirring rippled through the crowd of Watchers, not only from the lesser ones but from more of the esteemed ones as well. “We do understand,” The speaking Watcher began again, silencing the crowd once more, “that Xelqua is not a commonly brought up issue between the majority of Us, but this turn the Council is aware that Xelqua will become a larger issue if We do not share the details.” After a short pause, letting the words set in, the Watcher began speaking again. “Xelqua is obstinate, and so is dealt with using Our Void. Their refusal to follow Our rules leaves Us with no choice. But Xelqua continues to disobey Our orders and chooses to reside amongst mortals.” They stopped speaking entirely, nodding at one of the other Watchers beside them to continue the speech. “We have,” The new Watcher started up, “attempted to capture Xelqua. But the mortals have become… attached and it is making it extremely difficult.” This caused many of the other Watchers to begin mumbling amongst Themselves, speaking of attachments between mortals was not forbidden but between Them having loyalty to others than the Watchers was. “What of Xelqua’s attachments?” One Watcher’s voice rose above the other’s, a question directed at the two respected Watchers in the front. “Clarify this inquiry.” Some of the Watchers moved aside, making room for the questioning Watcher to have a path. “It is spoken that Xelqua has become attached. What of the attachments has made it difficult to remove Xelqua, and what will become of them when Xelqua is removed?” “Xelqua’s attachments have become protective. They do not see it fit for Us to remove Xelqua from their world. Once Xelqua is removed, the attachments will forget Xelqua and be no longer attached.” Content with their answer, the Watcher nodded and the others moved back into their spaces. “We have sent the most powerful of Us to seek control of Xelqua to return until the next Beginning. On the slim chance Xelqua escapes their grasp, all of Us will go to force the return.” The other Watchers made no movement or sound, their silence telling the respected Watcher all they needed to know. “Return to the duties of Watching.” With that, all of the Watchers besides the two speakers separated and left to the corners of their realm. “Xelqua will not go down easily.” The second Watcher noted after a moment’s silence, “There has been no surrender in all of these millennias.” “Centuries in the Void has caused too little damage. The Attachments are still forming.” The first responded in what could have been a sigh as they turned their head up at the symbol on the ceiling, “We must go farther.” “But Xelqua will not be able to withstand large punishment. Everything may collapse if there is breakage.” “Xelqua is not the most important.” The first nearly hissed as they spoke, as if the words were bitter. “The Third Watcher is important. We must understand that without Xelqua these worlds would wilt and Our food would grow scarce to starvation.” “You are to find Xelqua.” The first Watcher interrupted, their voice cracking from the proper tone usually used, “And you are to bring Xelqua back.” “We,” The second Watcher began gently, “We are to find Xelqua.” “No.” A deep shaky breath was taken in, “You. It is time to end this Game.”

Description

This is just a lil fanfiction/AU I'm writing and I decided to share it. It's far from cannon as much as done but I'm hyperfixated on the Watchers right now so here you go! Introducing The Game Is Over [TGIO]! This is a fanfiction based off of the Watcher lore in Evo SMP, Hermitcraft, and many other fanfictions I have read about it. This is not a finished story and therefore some pieces may not make sense later. There is also a possibility you will not get more than this chapter. But I hope you enjoy regardless! Watchers and Watcher Lore is primary made by YouTube creator Grian but other content creators he is associated with may make appearances. You can request for certain characters to appear but there is a possibility they will not. Feel free to ask questions, but remember you may not get an answer due to hopes of keeping lore secrets a surprise.
