my version: scratch had a normal day, walking down the streets from the shop he went for something until 3 unknown people attacked him. when he woke up, he found out he was tied to a cross. what was worse was that there was a fire that was growing under his feet. he found out that those three people were from a cult. scratch tried to get out of the cross, but it was too late, and got burned. his body went trought an agony. but he wasnt death the whole time. he saw it all. the cult ritual tho gave him a new "personality", that gave him the powers he has. he was, because of that, evil, a corrupted version of him. he k*lled the three people. and started to k*ll more and more. why he likes the fire you ask? its because it reminds him of them. the innocent souls of the people he tortured by burning. @Eon567 s version: Scratchy had a normal day, helping others code, going to MIT, and playing with his friends. Until the inexplicable happened. A fire had started in Scratchy's house. Fire Fighters arrived, but they were far too late. All that remained of the cat was a mutilated and burned corpse. Unbeknownst to any of them, Scratchy enjoyed his fateful demise, and, somehow, three years after the incident, he rose from his grave, with one goal in mind. To show his friends just how grand the warmth of the flames really is...
