Description

CPU Extreme Cloud Benchmark Pro 2016-2020 This project measures the speed of your computer Use mouse/arrow keys to navigate Final score given in extreme-marks, Higher = better See stage notes for more info eXtremeMark 2015 (older) https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/39482684/ ---------- FAQ ---------- Q: Are the highscores still working? A: Highscores stopped updating after Feb 2018 due to scratch changes. The highscores list that is currently visible is an archived version, but feel free to post your score in the comments. Q: Does this benchmark test all of my CPU cores? A: No, the official scratch client is single threaded (uses 1 core). Q: How can I score higher? A: You can try a different web browser (on desktops, chrome-based browsers are usually fastest). Q: Can I run this project on my iOS/android device? A: If you are using the scratch v3 html5 player, yes. On mobile devices, you have to 'see inside' the project to turn on turbo mode. On 3rd party clients (forkphorous) you can enable turbo mode by holding the flag. Q: Why does my iphone/ipad score so high? A: The iOS web browser is very optimized, and generally scores disproportionately high. Q: Why does sulfurous/phosphorous score so high? A: Those unofficial project viewers use highly optimized html5+js, and are much faster than all versions of the official scratch client (by 10x or more) Q: Does disabling animations improve my score? A: No, the background animation only plays on the main menu. It is disabled during the benchmark. Q: Does this project test the GPU? A: No, this is a single core CPU benchmark. GPU acceleration (flash-Stage3D or otherwise) should not significantly improve your score. ---------- Release Notes ---------- For expanded change log, see stage notes inside project. 2020-04m-29d - 1.07b2_1004 - updated FAQ again 2019-11m-02d - 1.07b2_1003 - updated FAQ 2018-01m-13d - 1.07b2_1002 - add FAQ 2016-05m-20d - 1.07b2 - reduce memory consumption 2016-04m-16d - 1.00 - initial release ---------- Credits ---------- HPX Text engine based off work by gowen68 & codelegend LZ Compression algorithm by LeadToGold Circle animation by HeyJD Thanks to -BlueSwirl- for the curation and Techno-CAT for suggesting
