Midori Automotive - 1992 Ninsho ——————— In 1991, the demand for a sporty and cheap sedan was looming, and Midori, having a relatively hard time financially due to the lowering demand for sportier cars, decided to try and get their hands on some of this potential market share. Midori set to work, and worked on creating a car that was affordable, relatively cheap, fast, and friendly to the common family. The result of this engineering would be the 1992 Ninsho, first revealed at the Nagoya Headquarters, and then released around the world. The 1992 Midori Ninsho was a result of attempting to take the roughness of a sports car and translate it for comfort purposes, while keeping the same type of speed. The Ninsho featured the spirit of the Spikefox V12 Engine, as said engine was cut in half to produce the Spikefox V6, which would soon make the Ninsho a legend. The V6 was able to produce a massive 579 horsepower at 8900 RPMs, and 459 lb-ft of torque at 7900 RPMs. The redline of the engine was 9500 RPMs. The result of putting half of a Spikefox V12 into a sedan allowed the Ninsho to go from 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds, an amazing number for 1992, and a regulated speed of 150 MPH. Without the regulator, it is estimated the Ninsho could reach speeds of up to 200. The Ninsho was quite the feat of engineering, as it was reliable and cheap while also maintaining a fast image. Though it's image remained relatively obscure, it was a save for Midori along with the Bean kei car released the same year, letting them stay afloat until they could recover properly. ——————— Information about the specifications and the purchasing of this vehicle can be found in the bottom section.
