It's about this place, called Moonshy, where people who have been *offed* turn into bugs. Lynx's dream is to stop people from dying in Moonshy. It's a phenomon that nobody knows how it happens. He enlists the help of his roomate named Jones to help, but they encounter troubles along the way. These include a young girl whose father was absent all her life but comes back to hurt her even more; a mayor with suspicious standings and her sherif/military captain; a musically talented, explosive "best friend"; and more. Lynx, a spider, "moves" to Moonshy after being hit by a truck. He needs a voice actor with a shrill or tenor voice, ideally with a stereotypically gay tone. He has four songs: two solos, a duet with Jones, and a trio with Lucy and Izz. (Taken) Jones, a former circus ringleader with levitating limbs, is medicated bipolar. I'm looking for a respectful portrayal, so please try not to be too nervous while auditioning. He has one solo and appears in one duet. (Taken) Izz is a kidcore bee with a rude attitude and daddy issues. A very emotional feminine voice is required. She is featured in one duet with her dad and a trio. (Taken) Lucy, a gentle moth and the Mayor of Moonshy (the insect town where this series takes place), is secretly aggressive. Her voice should be able to switch emotions quickly, and she plays the violin. She has one song with three reprises and a trio. (Taken) Sting, a calm wasp who sometimes loses his temper, needs a deep, masculine voice. He has three duets, including two in Lucy's songs and one with Izz. (Taken) Anthony, an exploding ant and Jones's old friend, is snarky and young. He has a lot of evil twin energy and two solos, with some lines from others. (Taken) Belle, a Monarch caterpillar with Stockholm Syndrome, needs a sweet, feminine voice. She has a duet with Lynx and appears in two Lucy songs. (Taken) Matea is a funny boxelder bug who loves his partner, having a higher voice is preferable. He needs to have a voice that can be both monotone and annoyed as well as excited (obviously not at the same time) He has one duet with Skylar. (Taken) Skylar, based on a termite and Anthony's ex, has a serious demeanor. Any gender voice is fine for them, as they also participate in the duet with Matea. (Taken, backup needed) Arica is a semi-mute spider and former pirate, voiced by my sister @what_whos_vi0let. She may need a backup due to her moving for college, and she has one important line. Ozzy is Anthony's casual friend, part of the ensemble in his songs. Snowster was created for comedic roles, often reacting to the main cast. Sam motivates Ozzy, who helps Anthony. Jewel is a sassy character giving advice in a high school girl’s bathroom, wanting a voice with a distinctive accent. She wears an apron over a tee. For anyone wanting to be a storyboarder, you can choose a character and do a small animatic for all three of the lines they say. For example, you could have Lucy (she's one of my favs) having her first line be flicking a syringe and writing in a page. I might not make this a musical, depends on how the songs fit into the script. All of these characters are mine fully, but I have based them on the following: the original idea for Lynx was a few years ago when I was trying to make a Minecraft OC and I wanted it to be based on a Minecraft spider, and it just got further and further from that. His personality is based on my father, who is super duper cool. And honestly he's a bit of a self insert. Jones is based on a mix of Alastor from Hazbin Hotel and my choreographer for a show I'm in. He is also based on my mother, who I have the bipolar trait from, as well as a circus ringleader. His personality is based on a friend of mine named Dottie. (Love you dottie) Izz is based on a piece of fan art I saw of Tubbo from Dream SMP, but I don't think I can remember what it was or who it was by, I'm sorry. Also, it's named after my cousin's dead name, designed after Lavendertowne's kidcore character, and based on my friend. Lucy is based on my Sister's ex, who would do the same thing where he would gaslight her in private but was a sweetheart when he knew I was around. Actually... she's just a mix of people I do not like... Also a purple moth as of late. My ex told me to make her purple, and she's aroace now. So, yay? Sting is based on 1. my grandfather's war general, whom I have only heard stories about, and 2. Wasps, Hornets, and Yellowjacket, have all made hives inside my swamp cooler and got in my house multiple times D: and my mother for her depressive episodes. the idea for Anthony? Oh, I was hanging out with my ex and they mentioned an exploding ant. I just ran with that, and I named him "Anthony" as a dumb pun, I based his personality on my bsf. Belle is based on the feeling of being so deep in one-sided love and then being horridly rejected (subtle foreshadowing). And also my sister's best friend for height, with Belle standing at 4'8. Mattea is based on my older brother for personality and those previously mentioned emo bugs for design. I found one of those in my coffe one time, so that also plays into the personality. We love our favorite butler boy. Skylar is based on "Your ex said you can't dance" by the Real Zebos. They were also was just barely mentioned in a snippet of a scene and I decided to make them a real character instead of just a mention, but I thought that "Skylar" was a pretty gender neutral name, so I made them nonbinary. Their personality is based on a person I did a play with. Arica is an OC that my sister (who voices her) made. Since I don't want to overwork my sister (because she will get mad at me) I made her only talk when strictly necessary. she was originally an acrobat, but absolutely NOT with that outfit. Her shirt is a play on chest binding, as she was a female pirate. if you want to know why, comment. Any OCs that are included in a remix may make it into the background as reporters, random people, or, with permission, have a few voice lines!
