So in the previous lore post, I left off at a cliffhanger. Well, little did anyone know, Hugo Jasper Aries Jadeshard, aka Count Jadeshard was DreamEevee's older brother. He is a lesser-known part of EQ:IR. In fact, he was so lesser-known, he wasn't even considered royalty, let alone part of DreamEevee's own family. Until something happened. Before we get into it though, let's go over his childhood first. Disclaimer: Part of the lore was inspired by StarEevee's second lore post, and a character from "Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts." And remember, Jadeshard is Dazzlewether when it comes to my OCs. Hugo was another adopted child, and from the same place Tempest's egg came from. He was nervous about his father being an Alternate Universe version of Maliceon, but then he grew to accept it. One day when he was four, he heard about an old legend of Spectria, and came to learn that he was a prince and his parents were kings and queens. He started growing side by side with DreamEevee at the age of eight, but that was when tensions grew between them. DreamEevee was more respected by her parents than Hugo was, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get enough attention. He knew his parents no longer cared about him. He then found a way to take care of himself, but it still didn't feel enough. In an attempt to cope with his anger with his parents since they made him feel neglected, he studied music, poetry, and other stuff and wrote strange poems, while DreamEevee had the desires of becoming a warrior princess. And then, when he was seventeen, during a family trip, when he saw his own parents die, he had mixed emotions about it, or rather an ambivalence, of the sadness that his parents had been killed and all he wanted to do was impress them, and the joy that his parents had died, and they never really cared about him anyway. He then ran back home to gather his things to run away, still with the ambivalence in him. He then went and started a new life, without DreamEevee to upset him. He arrived at the Eevee Village, where he no longer thought he was a prince or a king, because he knew that his home wasn't his kingdom. He thought he was never a prince in the first place. He started in a normal Eevee home, then bought a nearby mansion where he would feel like a king. Alike Dazzlewether, he robbed gems, but for the purposes of money to make the purchase for the mansion where he would practically live like a king there. He didn't get caught at all, because of his sneaky tactics, and no one noticed. They all thought it was Count Dazzlewether, the criminal mastermind who at the time was just starting to stop his obsession with gems. When Jadeshard made the purchase for the mansion, He made a new name for himself, "Count Jadeshard," along with a copy of Dazzlewether's iconic tophat, which he dyed white and green himself. He started an obsession with royalty, and adorned the piano that came with the mansion with some of the stolen gems and built robot assistants programmed to do what he said, and bring him anything he asked for, and directly. Whenever he starts remembering his past life, he simply played classic tunes on his piano, and even came up with his own theme. While his thoughts of his past life clashed with his future plans to overtake the throne of the Star Kingdom itself, one day he got an invitation to a special surprise ceremony. When it started after he arrived a few minutes prior, he was shocked to see that DreamEevee was spotlighted. Jade didn't know what to say about it, either he was angry or proud that he got to see his sister again. When DreamEevee got up and gave a speech, he began to realize that he was a king all along, and his true kingdom was in another dimension. Then came the part where DreamEevee was awarded a special gift; The sword that could ignite itself with different elements. Jade was shocked that in reality, DreamEevee was very successful. From then on, Jadeshard was devoted to finding out about his family, and the location of his kingdom. He asked multiple experts, but tried not to go through the rifts to find out. This is the part that he became famous for. And because a certain Eevee reported it. Well that's basically it about Jadeshard for this lore post! That's basically a LOT of lore about him.
