Happy Earth Day, everyone! The official theme for this year is "Planet vs Plastics". It is a call for the end of plastics for the sake of human and planetary health, demanding a 60% reduction in the production of plastics by 2040 and an ultimate goal of building a plastic-free future for generations to come. Did you know that it's estimated that one million plastic bottles are purchased *every minute*. Using a reusable water bottle could prevent an average of 156 plastic bottles per person from filling our oceans annually. Every year, 15 million tons of plastic enter the sea at a minimum. Experts predict that plastic will outweigh fish in the ocean by 2050 unless we make a change. Switching to reusable water bottles is one change you can make that could have hugely positive impacts for the Earth! Inspired by this, I made a project to encourage the use of reusable water bottles. I have one that I bring with me everywhere and I absolutely love it. Press space or tap the screen to refill the water bottles. As always, please feel free to remix! You could add artwork of your own reusable water bottle, animate another idea for reusable products that help the environment, or whatever else you can imagine! I look forward to seeing what you will come up with ^.^ - - - - This was made for the Earth Day 2024 studio! You are invited to join the studio as well.
