Bennett was born in 1911, and adopted in 1912 by a pilot. They then flew together in their little airplane for about ten years. One day, the pilot left and flew by himself, and his plane crashed. The remains were never found, but everyone had said he was dead. Bennett set out in search of his friend for years, wanting to find something. When he finally found his friend, he was still alive. The dog and owner rejoiced, but the pilot died several weeks later due to the fact he had lost a leg.
