I’m actually pretty happy with how this turned out. The movement is kinda weird, but I really like it. Name—Aurora Gender—female Pronouns—she/they Age—5 years and 7 moons (months) (like 17 in human years ig) Backstory (let the fun begin >:D)— So when she was a baby (so cute only 8 moons) their mother (Nebula) left them, so it was just her and her father (Horizon). They had a special connection with Horizon, and they were, like, best friends as well as father-daughter. They had adventures together, exploring the ocean and forest near the cove that they lived in. They made many happy memories, and Aurora was happy. They got older, and Horizon got weak and sick. He kept telling Aurora to not worry about him, and go explore on her own (she was like 3 then), like they used to, but no. She always argued, and stayed by his side, loyal until he finally died peacefully in his sleep. She buried him underneath the tree they used to sit under at dusk, and stayed in that cove. The environment around her changed to a great extent, bushes and flowers withered and fell, new, invasive plants took over, choking the trees. She didn't care, didn't notice even, and stayed in the cove. Eventually, a massive storm flooded the cove, and she was forced to leave. She swam for many days and nights, in grief and rage, until she finally reached an apparently deserted island. She made a den in a hollow tree, and stayed there, alone. They grew older, more experienced, and more depressed. She didn’t bother to explore the island, as it would only remind her of her beloved father. Eventually, the original resident of the island, a friendly and enthusiastic axolotl the size of a large rat (hahahahahaha) discovered the self-hating manokit(?) and befriended them. Aurora shared her story with Coral, and told him about her father and how he told her to live a good life. “When I look to the horizon, I remember how he told me to explore and have fun, but how can I when he’s gone?” Coral tells her to go back to the cove with him and see how much it’s changed, to show Aurora that Horizon is gone, and that she can still enjoy life. Aurora being a moody teenager, she argued, but eventually gave in. They went, they saw, they returned. Aurora has fun with Coral now, swimming together and exploring the island, but every now and then Aurora wakes, calling her father’s name. Halp that was exhausting.
