Instructions

To insert a character, drag it from the top-right box. It will become larger once it stops touching the box. Click the "BG" button to change the background. Likewise, the background music can be changed with the "Music" button. To open the Timeline, click the "|-'-'-|" button in the bottom-left corner. The timeline will appear with a green slider. Clicking the play button will automatically move the slider from the left side to the right, although you can scrub it to any position you want, and the characters' locations (see next paragraph) will be changed depending on where the slider is. The "loop" button next to the play button makes the timeline play repeatedly. To resize a character, make him or her do something, or say something, click the "Edit a Character" button. Then, click on the character you want to change. This will open the character editor menu as well as the timeline described before. To change the character's action, keep pressing it 'till you've found the action you prefer. To stop the action, click the "Stop" button, which is sort of built into the action button. To resize the character, move the "Character size" slider until you've found your fit. To insert dialogue, click the "Quote" button and type what you want the selected character to say. When you're done with the editor, click "Done." To make the characters move around/resize, move them all to where you want them to start out. Then, while the timeline is visible, scrub to the time when you want them to start moving. Press the orange diamond button to insert a keyframe. Move the characters around and press it again to add another. Keyframes MUST be added in chronological order, you can't add one before the most recent one. Also, a keyframe stores the places of every single character, so you should get everyone to the right place before adding one.

Description

Love SpongeBob? Is writing a cartoon your lifelong wish? If you answered yes to any of these questions, CLICK LOVE IT!! WHAT'S NEW - Keyframing is now implemented! The orange diamond button inserts a keyframe, which stores the location and size data for each character. - New character! You can now add Mr. Krabs! Unfortunately, Krabs wasn't a main character in the Monopoly game so he didn't get a full set of actions. - The "Quote" button is now part of the character menu and decides what the character says, not what some dot says. Of course, that means each character can only say one quote, but it also means the speech bubble will follow the character. - The "Change BG" button has been shortened to "BG," and the music can now be changed separately with the new "Music" button. There are also two new songs, "Tomfoolery," and "Alekoki." "Tomfoolery" is featured in quite a few episodes, so I think you'll recognize it. - SpongeBob has new actions (jump, sad, boat), Sandy has new actions (lasso, boat). - Squidward's actions have been split up (now the clarinet, money, etc. are all different actions) - The action speed slider now allows you to get faster than normal too. NOTES - Unfortunately, Krabs wasn't a main character in the Monopoly game so he didn't get a full set of actions. - This uses official APM music, which was played at some point during the series. - Sometimes, if you've already set the start or end size and then removed it, it won't resize dynamically. Don't worry about this, it will still work once you've set both again. TECHNICAL ISSUES - The loop timeline button can't be turned off. Ever. - Please forgive me if the timeline if it's buggy, its code is extremely complex (but feel free to remix if you think you can fix it :P ) - PLEASE report any bugs in the comments! TO DO - Add change of action and quote to keyframes - Add Gary (requested by Master999) - Add Plankton and Karen (requested by Icebird2) CREDITS The character images are all from the SpongeBob SquarePants Monopoly Demo. The music (from APM) and background images have all been "borrowed" from around the internet. No copyright infringement is intended, I'll happily remove any features that are unwanted by any of the content owners if contacted.
