When the Queen of the Skies rolls out... +-+-+-+ 30 September 1968: The first Boeing 747 was rolled out at Boeing’s Everett, Washington plant. It was registered as N7470, and the Boeing 747-121 was the first “jumbo jet.” This massive airplane shook the world, with it's massive body and the 4 Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7A high-bypass turbofan engines. The Boeing 747 was in production for 54 years with a total of 1,574 produced. 250 of these were the 747-100 series. The final Boeing 747, a 747-8F freighter, was delivered 31 January 2023.
