I hope he passes all his knowledge onto you.” Emberstream’s kits, Flamekit, Starkit, Moonkit and Riverkit had just become apprentices, and TwilightClan was all chanting for them. “Flamepaw! Moonpaw! Riverpaw! Starpaw!” Bloodkit looked at them in awe, as they could finally learn the ways of a warrior. Otterkit ran up to them “You’re so lucky! I wish I can go out in the forest…” then he looked to Cypressheart, and she shook her head. “Otterkit, you know you’re not supposed to be in the forest. You’re too young.” Leafkit was also desperate “Please, mom? We’ll be good?” Emberstream went up to them. “You have to wait, little ones. You only have two moons left.” Otterkit was feeling like this was unfair. Why couldn’t he just go outside the camp and just look around for a while? Emberstream ran up to her kits “You’re all so grown up now… I wish you all a great apprenticeship.” Moonpaw nodded “We promise we’ll work well!” Rookface went up to her “Hey, let’s go explore the territory, and I’ll show you the borders.” Moonpaw calmed herself, and went with her mentor. Bloodkit tried to squeeze in “I want to go, too!” But Leafkit blocked his way “You’ll never be a real warrior. You’re just a weakling! And I heard that really weak cats…” she got closer to her littermate “they get fed to the foxes!” Cypressheart looked over Leafkit “Leafkit! Don’t say such a thing! Bloodkit is as much as a normal kit as you!” She went away, rolling her eyes. “Come on Otterkit, let’s go.” Cypessheart would then lick Bloodkit’s head “Don’t listen to her… she’s just very jealous you’ll be a better warrior then her.” I hope you’re right… he thought, and Bloodkit began licking his chest fur, then Starpaw walked up to him “Hey, Bloodkit! I’m finally an apprentice!” He could feel her energy, and looked at her “Y-Yeah! You’re so lucky!” Bloodkit had a little sense of sheepishness in his voice. “When I grow up, I want to be leader!” Flamepaw chuckled “But you’re name will be Starstar! That doesn’t make any sense!” Riverpaw walked up to them “Well, maybe she can change it to Starlightstar?” Flamepaw turned around “Don’t be so silly! You’re stuck with the name you get!” He growled. Crowstone joined in “Well, I don’t know what will happen in that circumstance, but maybe perhaps StarClan will change your name if you do become leader.” Starpaw nodded “Okay! Can we do training now, please?” He smiled “Alright, we can learn how to hunt.” Bloodkit was pushed aside by Flamepaw, so he decided to return to the nursery. It’s not very fun staying isolated… he thought to himself, but when he entered, Leafkit and Otterkit were gone! “Uh… Leafkit? O-Otterkit?” He looked around, but the nursery was empty. *** “So this is our territory?” Moonpaw asked, following Rookface. She nodded “Yep! TwilightClan cats prey on birds, squirrels and mice. And up here… is the PineClan border.” Moonpaw looked to see the pine trees and snow on the other side of the border. Then, two cats walked up to them. “Oh! Hi Smogpaw and Horsepaw! I’m just showing Moonpaw the border.” The gray tom felt suspicious “It’s Smogclaw now, and are you sure you aren’t stealing our prey?” Rookface shook her head “No, not at all! I’m just making sure Moonpaw knows the borders so she doesn’t accidentally cross them.” Otterkit and Leafkit snuck in the grass, trying not to be detected. Otterkit looked at the cream she-cat and her purple gazing eyes… she was beautiful. Rookface dipped her head in respect “I’m sorry, this is all a misunderstanding.” Horsepaw shook her head “It’s fine, really! And I’m Horsefur now.” The warrior looked to the medicine cat “Well, congratulations to you both! May StarClan guide your path.” Leafkit glared at Otterkit weird. He was just staring at Horsefur. Then Smogclaw looked at the kits. “So, you’re just showing the borders? Then can you explain why there’s two kits behind you?” Rookface turned around to see the two. “Hey! You’re not supposed to be out here!” She grabbed them both by the scruff, and ran back to TwilightClan camp. Cypressheart ran up to her and sighed in relief “Oh thank StarClan!” Rookface returned the kits to the nursery, and went back to her apprentice. Cypressheart turned to Leafkit and Otterkit “You two can not sneak out of camp like that! You’re still young, and you could’ve got hurt!” She growled, then calmed herself down “You can’t get into anymore trouble. Otherwise you’ll have to get the ticks off Frostblaze and Mintfur!” Leafkit and Otterkit shook their heads “Ew! We promise we’ll be good! I don’t want to be held back as a warrior!” Leafkit hissed, Cypressheart sighed in relief, and went to get fresh-kill. Then Leafkit turned to Bloodkit “Expect for you! You’re just a mistake! You’ll never be a good warrior!” But then, Otterkit knocked her to the ground. “Stop talking to him like that! You’re so mean!” Leafkit knocked him back and coughed. “Okay, fine! She took a breath “Smogclaw was so scary! His fur was so messy, and his claws were sharp!” Otterkit joined in “Yeah… a-and Horsefur looked so beautiful, and cute…” Bloodkit perked up. He never heard of Horsefur, so she must be from another clan. Leafkit growled at her brother “You can’t love another cat from another clan! That’s against the warrior code!” Otterkit snapped out of it, and looked to Bloodkit. “Well, how about you?” His red eyes gazed to his siblings “I…I…” Leafkit cut him off “He won’t have anything to share! He’s so stupid…” she yawned and laid in her nest, resting. The moon rose up, so Bloodkit also curled up and fell asleep… his surroundings became covered in mist, and Bloodkit got up. Was this a dream? There was cats everywhere talking and another cat walked up to him.
